Account & Data Deletion

We respect your privacy and provide you with full ownership control over your personal data. This page explains how to request the deletion of your CheckD account and associated data.

How to Request Account Deletion:

Email Request

Send your deletion request to: support@checkd.io You must send the email from the same email address that you used to register for CheckD.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

Personal profile information (name, email)
Transaction history and verification data
Saved preferences and settings
Connected accounts and integrations
User-generated content and activity logs
Device identifiers and analytics data
Your Dataswyft Wallet - Unless specifically requested otherwise, your Dataswyft Wallet will also be deleted

⚠️ Important:

Deleting your Dataswyft Wallet means you will lose access to ALL other applications that use the Dataswyft Wallet, not just CheckD.

Data Retention Policy

Important Information About Data Retention

Some data may be retained for specific periods due to legal and regulatory requirements:

Data Kept After Deletion:

Transaction Records - Retained for 7 years for financial compliance
Verification Records - Retained for 5 years for regulatory requirements
Legal Records - Retained if subject to legal hold or investigation

Anonymized Data: Some data may be anonymized and retained for improving our services. This data cannot be linked back to you.

Deletion Timeline

Your deletion request will be processed as follows:

Immediate: Account deactivation and removal from active systems
Within 30 days: Complete deletion of personal data from primary systems
Within 90 days: Removal from all backups and secondary systems

⚠️ Warning:

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all services and data associated with your account.
